Former Zimbabwe captain and England head coach Andy Flower joined the Australian team as a consultant ahead of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against India.
He will also join the coching staff during Ashes, which commences soon after the WTC final.
Australia will take on India in the WTC final match at the Kennington Oval in London between June 7 and 11, with June 12 being reserve day.
Following the one-off Test match against India, the Pat Cummins-led team will lock horns with England in a five-match Ashes 2023 series.
Flower was the head coach of England between between 2009 and 2014 before serving as the team’s director later. Flower recently coached Lucknow Supergiants in the IPL 2023, and under his tutelege, the side made it to the playoffs as well.
