Bangladesh's victory and all-rounder Shakib al Hasan’s great performance are mostly merged at one point. The Southpaw has so many individual records as he surpassed everyone yesterday in the Man of the Match award record in ODIs.
Shakib won the Man of the Match award on a day of achieving many milestones with a brilliant all-round performance in the last ODI of the series against England. The experienced all-rounder has been adjudged man of the match for 25 times in the 50-overs format.
The 35-years old player is far away from any Tiger player as current ODI captain Tamim Iqbal has won 16 times. Former captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is third with 12 times. Mushfiqur Rahim has won this award 10 times.

Shakib has crossed Nathan Astle, Desmond Haynes and Tillakaratne Dilshan to achieve the award in global arena with 25 times. Only 15 others are above him in the record.
AB de Villiers and Yuvraj Singh are just above Shakib with 27 times.
Sachin Tendulkar has won the man of the match award 62 times and 76 times in all formats, which is highest. Sanath Jayasuriya is the second best with 48 times.
Shakib won the Man of the Match title 40 times in three formats as he surpassed AB de Villiers and Wasim Akram.
There are 12 people above him in this record. Viv Richards, Aravinda de Silva, Chris Gayle and Mahela Jayawardene are just above with 41 times.
Tamim Iqbal is ranked second for Bangladesh in three editions, 22 times.
