Chattogram crush Dhaka in low-scoring game, Comilla climb at two

Chattogram Challengers beat Dhaka Dominators by 15 runs in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur.
Chattogram bowlers held their nerve and managed to restrict Dhaka to 103-9 in 20 overs to defend a small target of only 119 runs.
Curtis Campher scalped three wickets while Mrittunjoy Chowdhury and Ziaur Rahman picked up two wickets each to humble Dhaka in their low-scoring match.
Nasir Hossain scored the highest for Dhaka as he managed to produce 24 runs and Soumya Sarkar scored 21in 16 balls aided by three boundaries.
Earlier, Chattogram batters struggled while batting first but Ziaur's quickfire 34 off 20 and Usman Khan's cautious 30-run innings helped them to post 118-8 in 20 overs.
Arafat Sunny led Dhaka to dominate the match in the first innings as he grabbed four-for which reduced Chattogram to 28-5 as the top-order crumbled down.
Ziaur was adjudged as the man of the match.

Comilla Victorians beat Fortune Barishal by five wickets to climb at two in the points table of the ongoing BPL. Comilla have already confirmed the playoffs.
With this victory, Comilla got advantage a bit in the race to be in the top two. Comilla touched Sylhet Strikers with 16 points in 11 matches. However, Sylhet is ahead in terms of run rate.
Comilla will face fourth placed Rangpur Riders in their last match. And Barisal will play against Khulna Tigers. Barisal is in third place with 14 points in 11 matches.
Barishal were restricted for 121, thanks to Mukidul Islam, who took 5 wickets off 23 runs in 3.1 overs for his career best bowling in BPL.
For Comilla Litton Das scored highest 36, while West Indies power house Andre Russell, who played his first match in this year’s BPL smashed 30 off 16.
