West Indies and Khulna Tigers batter Shai Hope is set to make his BPL appearance with Tomorrow’s match against Comilla Victorians.
The right-handed player was excited to face cutter-master Mustafizur Rahman and expressed confidence that he would beat Mustafiz.
“I hope that I stay on top in the fight with Mustafiz. He is a very good bowler. He is one of the best bowlers in the world. I have a lot of respect for him. But the last few times I played against him, I won. So I am expecting that tomorrow (January 28) will be the same,” said Hope.
Shai had previously faced Mustafiz in two international T20 matches, scoring 24 runs off eight balls with a strike rate of 300. In both matches, he went undefeated against Mustafiz. He also scored a 16-ball fifty at Sylhet International Stadium.
"Yes, we have some good memories here. Let's see what happens in the BPL, but I would like to bring back those good memories,” he added.
Hope expressed his interest to play in all three formats for West Indies if he’s given the opportunity.
"I want to play in all three formats if I get a chance. I love cricket so I like the different challenges. I want to play according to the situations of the game. If I need to hit, I’ll play aggressively and If I need to be defensive, I’ll do that. I want to accept all the challenges and continue like this that this is how my career will grow,” he added.
