Miraz hits his career best ODI all-rounder ranking

Mehidy Hasan Miraz was excellent in the ODI series against India as he got the man of the match award in two consecutive matches with his first career century and also adjudged player of the series. This spin all-rounder also got his reward in the ICC ranking on Wednesday.
World cricket's governing body ICC released its weekly update of men's rankings. At the end of the Bangladesh-India series, Miraz has moved up three steps in the ranking of ODI all-rounders and is now at number three.

All-rounder Shakib al Hasan was already number one in this format. His rating points are 389. Now Miraz came close to him. Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi is between the two Bangladeshi players. His points are 310.

Miraz played an unbeaten innings of 100 runs off just 83 balls in the second ODI of the India series. After that match he achieved a career best 295 rating points.

Mahmudullah is up two places to 35th.The bowlers to gain from the two ODIs in Bangladesh include Shakib (up one place to eighth) for the home side and fast bowler Mohammad Siraj (up four places to 22nd) for India.
Australia batter Marnus Labuschagne has consolidated his position at the top of the ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings with a career-best 937 rating points after compiling his third three-figure knock in the two-match ICC World Test Championship (WTC) series against the West Indies.
In the ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings, Kohli has moved up two places to eighth position after scoring 113 in the final ODI against Bangladesh in Chattogram, while Shreyas Iyer has advanced from 20th to 15th with a score of 82 in the second match of the series in Dhaka.
Left-handed opener Ishan Kishan, who recorded the fastest ODI double-century in the final match, has rocketed 117 places to 37th position.
