Bangladesh's squad returned to the country today after a poor Asia Cup campaign in the UAE.

The Tigers landed about 9:00 a.m. today, however none of the cricketers spoke to the media after landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

It was revealed that Bangladesh team director Khaled Mahmud Sujon stayed in the UAE with his family and will return to the country the following day.

Bangladesh, the last Asia Cup runners-up, returns to the competition without registering a single win.

Despite putting up a valiant fight, Bangladesh were eliminated from the continental event on Thursday by an agonizing two-wicket defeat to hosts Sri Lanka.

Prior to it, the Shakib Al Hasan-led squad was defeated by Mohammad Nabi's Afghanistan by seven wickets in their opening Asia Cup match.

The Tigers will now gear up for the upcoming T20 tri-nation series in New Zealand, which will serve as a crucial building block for the T20 World Cup in October.
