Bangladesh opener Litton Das will be out of action for three to four weeks as he was suffered a hamstring muscle strain after scoring an unbeaten 81 against Zimbabwe on Friday in the first of a three ODIs, where Bangladesh hammed by Zimbabwe in a 610-run match, thanks to Sikandar Raza and Innocent Kaia’ outstanding tons.

As a result, he will be out of the Zimbabwe series and also there are concerns regarding his availability in the Asia Cup, set to start in United Arab Emirates at the end of this month.

An outstanding partnership from Sikandar Raza and Innocent Kaia managed to seal a victory in favour of hosts Zimbabwe as they won by five wickets on Friday in the first ODI of the three-match series.

BCB physio Muzadded Alpha Sany, who is in Zimbabwe with the team said in a video “We sent Litton for a scan during the match. His scanned report showed a grade two muscle strain. Such injuries take approximately three to four weeks (to heal). So we won’t have Litton again in this series."

Mushfiqur Rahim was not seen in the field after scoring an unbeaten fifty in this match. Also, pacer Shoriful Islam also left the field due to strain on his leg while bowling.

BCB Physio also revealed the condition of their injuries.

"Mushfiq Bhai injured his thumb during batting. But it doesn't seem like a big deal. Hopefully, we will get him in the next match."

“Shoriful was feeling a bit paralysed, due to his immediate injury. Hopefully, I can give some good news by tomorrow" he concluded.

Earlier, Nurul Hasan Sohan, who was named as the T20I captain in the ongoing tour of Zimbabwe was forced to return home after being sidelined for the remainder of the tour with a finger injury picked up during the second T20I against the African nation.

He is going to Singapore for treatment of his fractured finger as his availability in Asia Cup is in danger too.
