Australia head coach Andrew McDonald has tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the Sri Lanka tour, starting on June 7.
McDonald returned positive ahead of the Australian team's departure to Sri Lanka on May 31 and is likely to miss at least one T20 match.
According to cricket.com.au, McDonald will remain under isolation for seven days. His assistant Michael Di Venuto will play the role of the interim coach in the meantime. McDonald is expected to resume his duties ahead of the second T20I in Colombo.
Australia will take on Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I series, which will be followed by a five-match ODI series starting on June 14 and the final ODI match will be played on June 24.
After the white-ball games, the two-match Test series will start on June 29 with the second match to commence on July 8. Both matches will be played at the Galle International Stadium, Galle.
