Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been named in the Wisden world’s best ODI eleven. A panel of Wisden writers has picked the XI based on both recent form and overall record.
Shakib was placed in number six position in the XI with the openers Rohit Sharma and England’s Jonny Bairstow. Virat Kohli on number three while Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam on 4th and KL Rahul before Shakib.
Apart from Shakib, Chris Woakes is also in the team as an all-rounder with Jasprit Bumrah, Australia’s Mitchell Starc, Kiwi pacer Trent Boult and Adam Zampa in the bowling line-up.
The Southpaw ranked as the No.1 men’s ODI all-rounder in the world, Shakib’s overall career record is impressive but so is his recent form. He has 17 ODI wickets at 17.52 this year, while averaging just under 40 with the bat.
So far, he played 215 ODI matches, scored 6,600 runs with an average of 37.93 with 9 hundred’s and 277 wickets for Bangladesh.
