Former Zimbabwean cricketer and commentator Pommie Mbangwa made strong words during commentary after Quinton de Kock withdrew from the T20 World Cup game between South Africa and West Indies for personal reasons.

De Kock pulled out of the game against the West Indies minutes after the cricket board issued a directive requiring all players to “take the knee” against racism.

During the commentary, Mbangwa was left bemused with the development and asserted some strong words regarding the matter.

“Excuse me for being political, but I cannot shed my skin. I hope that the discussion at the very least is about how to be united about something that everybody agrees on... also in the hope that there is an agreement," he said.

Mbangwa wasn't the only one to react in this manner. Even former West Indies skipper Darren Sammy joined him.

"Sometimes I don't understand, why is it so difficult to support this movement if you understand what it stands for," said Sammy.
