Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan Papon hopes to get the same amount of money from the International Cricket Council (ICC) as Australia by 2023. He believes BCB will be more financially benefited after two years and break the pact of influential top 3 boards in ICC.
"Many people think that where does the BCB get so much money now, where does it come from? We still get the same amount of money that the ICC used to provide. It will be increased in the future. We will get a lot more money from 2023," said Papon.

The president of BCB believes If the board can carry out this plan, it will be BCB's most significant diplomatic success. Aside from that, the BCB has gotten the same amount of money as it has for the past eight years in the ICC cycle.
"The proportion of money that has been given to us is not the right amount. I challenged them but I couldn't figure out that we had been into their 8-year cycle. From 2023, Bangladesh will get the same amount as Australia,” he said.
The president said the BCB has so far deposited around Tk 900 crore for the national teams.
“Previously, the cricket coaching staff had only one head coach. For the national team, we now have a fielding coach, a bowling coach, a batting coach, a head coach, and trainers. Then came the HP team, the women's team, now the under-19 team also has foreigners (coaches).
“You have to understand how much the expense of the BCB has increased, and whether our players get benefits, it has gone at least tenfold,” he added.
