The furious Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club has already filed a written complaint with the Dhaka Metropolis Cricket Committee (CCDM). Authorities in Sheikh Jamal have written to CCDM chairman and BCB director Kazi Inam Ahmed, requesting that Sabbir be disciplined.
Sheikh Jamal wrote in the letter to the CCDM, "With great sadness, we inform you that during the match between Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited and Old DOHS Sports Club on June 16, 2021 at the BKSP-3, Legends of Rupganj player Mr. Sabbir Rahman Rumman threw bricks at Elias Sunny from outside the field without any reason. He used abusive language in a racist manner. As a professional cricketer, such behavior is not only indecent but also a punishable offense. In this case, you are requested to take disciplinary action against Mr. Sabbir Rahman Rumman."
CCDM member secretary Ali Hossain confirmed the matter to Cricfrenzy, said "We have not received the details yet. I can actually tell the details. They could send the letter but I haven't seen it yet. I’ve heard that an incident has taken place.”
However, Sabbir has dismissed the issue to Cricfrenzy. "What are you talking about? He's like my big brother. Why should I do that to him? I am a national cricketer.”
