DPDLT20: Shakib’s Mohammedan suffers heavy defeat against Prime Doleshwar

Prime Doleshwar sporting club defeat Mohammedan sporting club by a huge margin of 22-run in the ongoing Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League T20 at BKSP-4 Ground, Savar. The match was scheduled to start at 9 am, but due to rain the match started at 11:30, the length of the match was reduced to 6 overs.
Chasing the target of 79 runs set by Prime Doleshwar, the opponent Mohammedan were restricted on 56 runs losing four wickets. The openers Parvez Hossain Emon (0) and Shuvagata Hom (0) failed to make a good start as both were returned for a naught by Shafiul Islam.

Then, captain Shakib al Hasan and Nadif chowdhury added 30 runs for the third-wicket stand, as Nadif (16) was sent off by Rejaur Rahman. Irfan Sukkur joins the crease with Shakib, however, could not take the side to victory.
Shakib fell prey to Shafiul, he departed with a catch to Farhad Reza, scoring 22 runs off 14 balls with 2 fours and one six.
Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club scored 78 runs in 6 overs against Mohammedan Sporting Club while batting first after losing the toss.
Opener Imran Uzzaman and Shamim Hossain got off to a great start putting 68-run partnership in 3.5 overs. Imran departed playing a stormy innings of 41 off 14 balls and, stroking two fours and 5 sixes. While Shamim was unbeaten on 29 off 16 balls, hitting 1 for and two sixes.
Imran was returned by Shakib with a catch to Abu Haider. Then, two batsmen Farhad Reza, Fazle Mahmud and were dismissed for a naught and Saif Hassan scored 2 runs. Abu Jayed picked up two wickets and Ruyel Miah, Shakib got one wicket each.
