DPDLT20: Mustafiz five-for in vain as Shakib’s Mohammedan beat Tamim’s Prime Bank

|| CF DESK ||
In the final game of the day, Mohammedan beat Prime Bank Cricket Club by 27 runs thanks to opener Parvez Hossain Emon's half-century and a team effort from the bowlers in the ongoing Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League T20 at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium Saturday.
Mustafizur Rahman's second five-for in the format was overshadowed by Mohammedan's third triumph in as many games.

Prime Bank's 151-run chase was reduced to 123 runs when Mohammedan pacers Taskin Ahmed and Abu Jayed each took three wickets. Taskin gave away only 15 runs in 3.3 overs, while Jayed conceded 33.

The best score in Prime Bank's innings was Mohammad Mithun's 18-ball 25, which included two over boundaries. Tamim Iqbal, the Prime Bank captain, was the only other batsman to reach 20 runs in the innings.

Earlier, Mohammedan elected to bat first, and after a struggle in the lower middle order, Emon's 50 off 38 and Shamsur Rahman's 33 carried the innings to 150.
Mustafizur tore through the middle and lower order, finishing with five wickets and 22 runs conceded in his four overs.
