During Mohammedan star Shakib Al Hasan's practice session on Friday, the bio-secure bubble was breached as Bangladesh Cricket Board BCB has begun an investigation into the situation. The country's top cricket governing body confirmed the news through a press release on Saturday.

On Saturday afternoon, the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCCDM) and BCB officials met to discuss the breach of the bio-safety zone. Following the meeting, CCDM chairman and BCB director Kazi Inam announced the initiation of an investigation. In this context, BCB will take the required steps.

"We are disappointed to note this incident. Both the CCDM and the BCB has taken this very seriously. The health and safety of our teams, players and officials are most important to us. We have invested a significant amount of finances and efforts to make sure the BSE protocols are in place including the best possible accommodation and logistics,” CCDM Chairman Kazi Inam Ahmed said.

Even though Mohammedan's cricketers were on leave that day, Shakib came to the pitch. The southpaw worked out at Mirpur Stadium's academy ground. The bubble protection was shattered during this practice. Shakib was bowled in the net by Asif Hasan and Ruel Mia.

There were two net bowlers who were not on the Mohammedan team at the time. They aren't even close to being in the bio bubble zone.

A man in a white shirt was seen there during Shakib's session. He was on his phone, taking pictures and even making contact with net bowlers.
