BCB decides to cut one Test against Zimbabwe, confirms 5 T20Is vs Australia

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director Akram Khan informed the media that the Bangladesh team's tour of Zimbabwe had been rescheduled. The BCB has decided to decrease the number of Test matches, nevertheless, the number of T20 matches has been increased. The tour will now consist of one Test match and three Twenty20 matches.
The BCB opted to take the decision prior to the upcoming event Dhaka Premier League (DPL) which is set to begin on May 31 and will continue till 24th June.
"Our schedule is very busy at the moment. As domestic cricket is going to start after the Sri Lanka series. So due to time-management we reduced one Test from Zimbabwe and increased one T20,” Akram said.
“After returning from Zimbabwe we have the Australia, New Zealand series. Then we have to look after the bio-bubble of cricketers. Everything has to be considered together. Extra game is also not good. We are thinking about all this. I will think about this after this series,”he added.
After the Zimbabwe series, Bangladesh will play against Australia at home. The number of matches has also increased, instead of three T20s, the teams will now play five matches.
"We had three matches against Australia, but we wanted to do five and they agreed and it all happened between eight to nine days. We are trying to make the preparation as good as possible," Akram said.
There were also three T20s against New Zealand. Two more matches have been added too in that series after discussion. New Zealand will play five Twenty20 matches between August 18 and September 4. Australia Series from 6 to 14 September.
