A young side of Sri Lanka team have clinched the Test series against Bangladesh recently at their home soil as Khaled Mahmud Sujon, chairman of the Bangladesh Cricket Board's game development committee, respects that team but believes that Bangladesh has the ability to win the forthcoming ODI series at home.
“Despite a young side, Sri Lanka will be a very strong team. Of course we want to win the series at home. I believe we have the ability to win the series” said Sujon to the media on Sunday.

Although the field performance is not speaking for Bangladesh. The Tigers have lost 3-0 in the ODI and T20 series in New Zealand this year.
Earlier, they won the ODI series 3-0 against the West Indies at home. Bangladesh lost the Test series 2-0. Despite being on the back foot at the moment, the veteran feels strong at home.
Although we are on the back foot after losing several games, I think we are a great team in this format. I think our condition, even though the conditions in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are not very different, our home ground ... we will try to play our best cricket. I believe we will win the series” he added.
Sri Lanka is coming to Bangladesh on May 16. They will have to stay in quarantine for three days after setting foot in Bangladesh. All the matches of the series will be played day and night inside closed door. There will be three ODIs on May 23, 25 and 28 respectively.
