All Sri Lanka return Tiger cricketers test Covid-19 negative

Sri Lanka return national team cricketers have been quarantined at home after playing a two-match Test series in Sri Lanka as the cricketers returning from the tour were tested for Covid-19 so that they could return to practice as soon as possible. All the cricketers returning from Sri Lanka have tested negative for Covid-19. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) doctor Monzur Hussain Chowdhury confirmed the matter to the media.
After playing a two-Test series, the Bangladesh team returned to the country on a chartered plane last Tuesday. Due to the coronavirus situation in the country, they were sent to their home quarantine from the airport. Initially, there was talk of 14-day home quarantine, but the BCB had requested for relaxation of quarantine to give the cricketers a chance to prepare ahead of the one-day series against Sri Lanka at home. The Department of Health agreed to the with corona test.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has already announced the schedule for the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. The visiting Sri Lankan cricket team will arrive in Dhaka on May 16 to play the series as per the schedule.
Some of the cricketers in the preliminary squad of Bangladesh started training from May 2 ahead of the series. The practice started under the supervision of local coaches with cricketers from, who were not in the Sri Lanka Test squad.
After a three-day quarantine till May 18, pre-series preparations will be held at the academy ground of Mirpur on May 19-20. The first warm-up match of the series will be held on May 21 at Bangladesh Sports Education Institute (BKSP). The series will start from May 23.
