Nannu also told CricBuzz that Mustafiz has been left out of the plan for the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka. He said, 'Mustafiz has been given NOC. He is not in our plan for the Sri Lanka series”

Rajasthan had picked Mustafizur at his base price of INR 1 crore during the 2021 IPL players' auction. Before that, the fast bowler played in the IPL for Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Earlier, Shakib Al Hasan has picked up by the Kolkata Knight Riders for INR 3.2 crore from the auction. Shakib played for this franchise from 2011 to 2017.
