Dhaka Metropolitan started the journey of National Cricket League (NCL) with the victory against Barishal Division as they defeated the host by 8 wickets at Barisal Divisional Stadium. On the other hand, Chittagong Division defeated Rajshahi Division by 88 runs in the National Cricket League (NCL) on Thursday [March 25] in Rajshahi.

Chattogram Division Vs Rajshahi Division

On the fourth day, Rajshahi Division needed 136 runs. Chasing the target of 283 runs, Rajshahi started losing wickets at regular intervals. Chittagong’s Mehedi Hasan Rana took 4 wickets for the team. Junaid Siddique fought alone on the day, he remained unbeaten on 68 off 163 balls with five boundaries. Rajshahi’s innings stopped at 194.

Rana was named as the player of the match with 4 wickets for 35 runs. Ifran also took three wickets for Chittagong.

Dhaka Metro vs Barishal Division

Barishal Division started the fourth day with 177 runs for seven wickets, however their innings ended on 208 runs. As a result they set a very small target of 37 runs. The last three wickets were taken by Arafat Sunny, Al Amin Hossain and Abu Hider. Haider took three wickets, Arafat and first innings centurion Shohidul Islam took two wickets each.

Dhaka Metro reached the easy target with 8 wickets in hand. Zahiduzzaman remained unbeaten on 15 and skipper Marshal Ayub on 1. Opener Anisul Islam returned scoring 10 runs and Shamshur Rahman scored 4 both of them were returned by Tanvir Islam.
