Chattogram Division faced Rajshahi Divison on the third day of Bangabandhu National Cricket League (NCL) on Wednesday [March 23] in Rajshahi. On the other hand, Dhaka Metro played against Barishal Division at Barishal Divisional Stadium in Barishal.

Chattogram Division Vs Rajshahi Division

Chattogram set the target of 283 runs against Rajshahi Division, chasing the target Rajshahi lost 5 wickets for 147 runs at the end of day three. They are 136 runs behind to claim their first victory of Tier 2. Junaid Siddique remained unbeaten on 51 runs off 126 balls with three boundaries and Farhad Reza on (14), they will continue on the fourth day.

Chittagong bowler Ifran Hossain picked up two wickets while Mehedi Hasan Rana, Hasan Murad and part timer Yasir Ali got one wicket each.

Earlier, Chittagong continued at 43 for 5 wickets, however the batsmen could not add much run and their innings stopped at 147 runs. Wicket-keeper batsman Irfan Sukur scored 65 off 80 balls with 12 fours. Apart from him Mahmudul Hasan scored 39 runs both of them were returned by Taijul Islam.

From Rajshahi Farhad Reza, Taijul Islam and Towhid Hridoy bagged three wicket each and Shafiqul Islam got one wicket.

Dhaka Metro vs Barishal Division

Pacer Shohidul Islam hits a ton on Day three which led Dhaka Metro set a huge total of 413 runs in their first innings. Shohidul scored 106 runs off 150 balls with 14 boundaries and earlier skipper Marshall Ayub scored 112 runs.

At the end of the day Barishal Division collected 177 for seven wickets. Highest scorer Moinul Islam scored 63 runs off 155 balls and made seven boundaries. Salman Hossain scored (44) and Shykat Ali (25).

Metro bowlers Shohidul and Abu Haider took 2 wickets each and Arafat Sunny, Shamsur Rahman got 1 wicket.
