Rumana-Moni guide Green Team to final of Bangladesh Games

Bangladesh ODI captain Rumana Ahmed shined with the bat as the Bangladesh Green defeated Bangladesh Red by 6 wickets in Bangabandhu Bangladesh Games at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. A match winning knock by Rumana helped the team to secure the position in the final, while Ritu Moni has displayed an all-round performance.
In reply of the target of 158 runs given by the Red team. Rumana made an unbroken partnership of 120 runs with Moni in the fifth wicket and sailed the team to victory. Rumana-Moni took the responsibility of the team after the departure of top-order batsmen. Rumana remained unbeaten on 80 with nine boundaries and Ritu on 51.
Red team pacer Lata Mandal took 2 wickets. Nahida Akhter and Pooja Chakraborty took one wicket each.

Earlier, Red team have lost the toss and putted into bat first. Middle order batsman Sharmin Supta scored 72 runs in the innings and the Red team scored 157 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Sharmin made 72 off 140 balls with 4 boundaries. The second highest 22 runs came from the bat of opener Jinnat Orthi. Besides, Rubaiya Haider scored 18 and Lata Mondal 13.
