Ireland Wolves in trouble as they trail by 127 runs at the end of Day 2 of four-day match at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. Bangladesh HP team Left-arm orthodox Tanvir Islam sparks again.
Ireland posted 35/4, Harry Tector and Curtis Campher remained unbeaten. Tanvir Islam crashed down the batting line up again as he picked up three wickets on the second day. He sent off Jeremy Lawlor(8), Jonathan Garth(0) and Stephen Doheny(20). On the other hand, pacer Ebadot Hossain took the wicket of James McCollum.
After Towhid Hridoy and Yasir Ali, who made the highest run partnership of 112 runs for Bangladesh, there were no big partnerships as the lower order batsmen trembled down and ended their innings at 313. Yasir (92) could not stand after the departure of Towhid who scored 36 runs, right-handed batsman Yasir missed his century for only 8 runs as the batsman departed the pitch scoring 92 of 115 balls with 8 boundaries and 5 sixes. Jonathan Garth took their wickets. Wicket-keeper batsman Akbar Ali (19) could not stand this day, he was sent off by Graham Hume.
Bangladesh HP team began their innings at 81/1. Batsman Mahmudul Hasan and Saif Hassan made a partnership of 83 runs, though both of them missed their half-centuries. Saif returned scoring 49 runs by Graham Hume and Mahmudul (42) missed the half century for 8 runs as he was picked up by Gareth Delany through lbw.
