Bangladesh High Performance team faced Ireland Wolves in the four-day match at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram . HP reached 81/1 at the end of the first day of the game, Saif Hassan(22*) and Mammudul Hasan Joy(18*) remained unbeaten on the crease at the close of the day.
The host, Bangladesh HP team bundled up the visitors at a low score, 151 . Opener batsman Tanzid Hasan and Saif started confidently , however Tanzid had to return scoring 41 off 39 balls by Harry Tector. Saif-Tanzid made a 50 run partnership for the team.
Earlier, Wolves won the toss and chose to bat first, James Mccollum (19) and Jeremy Lawlor(13), the two openers could not make the pair last long. The top order dismantled by spinner Tanvir Islam as he returned McCollum. Then Stephen Doheny was returned scoring 14 by pacer Ebadot Hossain. Captain Tector also could not settle down. The visitors lost 4 early wickets during the first session.
Curtis Camper and Lorcan Tucker put up resistance for the Wolves, who lost four wickets for 72 runs. Curtis-Tucker made a partnership of 49 runs, before Tucker was picked off by Saif.The right-handed batsman returned to the dressing room with 20 runs. While Camper returned with 39 runs, after that no one could stand that way.
Tanvir took 5 wickets for Bangladesh, Saif took 2 wickets, Ebadat took 2 wickets and Khaled Ahmed took 1 wicket.
