WI team test COVID-19 negative

All members of the West Indies cricket team have received COVID-19 negative result in their first test since arrival in Dhaka. The 38-member West Indies cricket team reached Bangladesh for the month-long tour on Sunday and underwent Covid-19 test.

They have to stay in isolation for three days and will undergo corona test again. West Indies manager Dario Bartley said on Tuesday that all of them tested negative.
West Indies will have the opportunity to practice in the net from the fourth day. Before that they will have Covid-19 test once again. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is also providing net bowlers for practice session. After completing the three-day isolation then they will be allowed in the nets at the Academy Ground of the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
The Caribbeans are scheduled to play a warm-up match on January 18 at Savar’s BKSP ground. Then Bangladesh-West Indies series will start on January 20 with the first ODI match.
