Tigers’ veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim has come out of his indoor practice and started training individually outside the field for the first time in order to keep him fit during the long break of the life-threatening virus.

Mushfiqur uploaded a video of the practice on his official Facebook page, where this hard-working cricketer is seen batting, rolling and planking beside running. He has started practicing in a huge field of Fortis Group at Beraid in Badda.

Apart from Mushfiqur Rahim, a few other cricketers who are based in capital city Dhaka are also expected to practice at the ground. Fortis Group has opened the field for the cricketers mainly who are in collaboration with the national keeper-batsman.

They have said that they will not charge any money from the cricketers for this. On the contrary, the officials of the organization are satisfied and felt proud if they could come to benefit the cricketers during the moment of this crisis.

Fortis Group Deputy General Manager Moinul Hossain has already confirmed the matter and said that they have set up a pitch at their secluded environment after consulting with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

Moinul also said that the ground has originally been used for football. But they have erected the pitch after the national cricketers have expressed their keen interest in practicing there.

“We’ve a swathe of grassy greenery area for which many people from sports arenas irrespective of football and cricket and so on showed their interest to practice or play games here in Beraide,” Moinul Hossain said.

“We’ve around 40 bighas of land, where there are two large fields situated. We’ve already developed it with all modern facilities,” Hossain told Cricfrenzy.

Mushfiqur has been working hard to keep himself fit since the outset of the coronavirus outbreak. He is constantly practicing by putting exercise equipment in his own home. Sometimes sweating while running on the treadmill, sometimes by lifting the dumbbells, sometimes running in front of his house lane, recently he was also seen doing some knocking and keeping practice at his garage.

Earlier the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman took some more equipment from the gymnasium of the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur on July 6.
