BCB handed over one-time monetary support to the non-contracted players

Bangladesh Cricket Board handed over one-time monetary support to the non-contracted players playing in Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League [DPL], through their clubs' authority.

The DPL got closed down after one round, due to the coronavirus. For this reason, cricketers suffered financial loss. Which is why BCB President Nazmul Hassan Papon announced to give one-time monetary assistance to the 96 premier league cricketers who are out of central contracts.  

The board president said he would donate BDT 30,000 to the Premier League cricketers who are out of BCB's contract. On March 28.  
 

Member secretary of Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis Ali Hossain confirmed Cricfrenzy that, on Thursday morning BCB handed over the cheque to the club authorities.
 
Ali Hossain said, "The board president announced on March 28 that he would donate BDT 30 thousand to the non-contracted cricketers. So, on this morning (Thursday), I handed over the cheque to the authorities of 12 clubs of Dhaka Premier League."


On 15 March, the matches of Premier League started. Because of the 100 year birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, this year's premier league got renamed from Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League to Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPL). But the outbreak of coronavirus, causes the postponement of the tournament.
