Bangladesh Under-19 World Cup-winning skipper Akbar Ali said on Thursday that he always try to smile when opposition team players try to sledge him and try to put him under pressure.

Akbar came up with this philosophical move during the Under-19 World Cup final match between Bangladesh and India where the Indian players has done a lot of sledging to the Bangladeshi a batsman when Akbar batted but he remains calm.

Akbar said he read in some books that smile is the best revenge when dealing with opposition player tantrum

‘’I read somewhere smiling is the best revenge. The more they sledge us I try to laugh and give them opposite effect’’ Akbar told the media just before leaving for his hometown Rangpur on Thursday.
Akbar also said he tried to keep his excitement in check to allow other players to express their feelings.

‘’Everybody gets excited but I try to   show my excitement in the field as less as possible. My team also can say that but I try to hide my feeling in front of everybody,’’ said Akbar.

However he said both Bangladesh and India players had good times after the world cup final was over in South Africa

‘’When we returned to the hotel we stayed two day closely with the Indian players at the hotel and we gossiped a lot with them. India player and coach appreciate us'' added Akbar
