BCB decided to send Shadman, Mrittunjay to Australia for surgery

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief physician Debashish Chowdhury said on Tuesday that the board have decided to send Test opener Shadman Islam and Under-19 pace bowler Mrittunjoy Chowdhury to Australia for surgery.
Left handed batsman Shadman Islam been suffering from wrist injury while bowler Mrittunjoy has been forced out of the ongoing under-19 World Cup due to shoulder injury.

BCB physician Dr Debashish has already informed that the board has already been contacting in Australia to the doctors specialized on the particular injuries and the players could be sent at the end of February.
“We were struggling for both of their injuries. One is Shadman’s wrist injury and Mritunjay’s shoulder injury,” BCB chief physician Dr Debashish Chowdhury told.
“Mritunjay has returned because of his shoulder injury from under-19 World Cup. He is very potential and rising cricketer,” he added.
“Board has decided to contact in Australia for their better treatment. And we have already started that for them. if everything goes according to the plan, we can send them back to the hand and the shoulder surgeon” he concluded.
