A  match-saving century from Liton Kumar Das on the last day has helped North zone draw against south zone f the first round of Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Sunday.

In these match, Shahriar Nafees was the eight Bangladeshi batsmen to score 8000 runs in first-class class cricket.

Fazle Rabbi Mahmud, Shahriar Nafees Ahmed, Shamsur Rahman, Mahmud Ullah and Liton Kumar das all scored a century in this match.

At stumps of day three North Zone reached 22-0, with Mizanur Rahman and Rony Talukdar batting on 15 and 7 runs respectively. They still needed  432 runs to win the game which was difficult to get on the day for wicket.

BCB North zone scored 278 runs at the end.

At day four liton scored a brilliant hundred for his team. He ended up being not out on 103 runs. He smashed nine fours and two over boundry. Junaid Siddique scored 61 runs for north zone,

Though the match has seen five centuries form both sides of batsman Shafiul Islam heroics with the ball in the first innings has helped him get man of the match. He took four wickets in the first over of the second innings of the match.
