Cumilla Warriors coach Ottis Gibson said on Friday that they are disappointed for failing to meet their expectation in the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League.
Mushfiqur Rahim blasted a 57 ball-98 not out in a show of gutsy batting as Khulna Tigers clinched a whopping 92-run win over Cumilla Warriors and in doing so sealed a place in the play-off in Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BBPL) at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Cumilla who could have stayed alive in case of a victory is now eliminated from the race completely and finished as fifth team with 10 points from 12 games.

‘’From our point of view it was very disappointing to finish the way we did. We came here with some expectation and that there were some mathematical chances we get through. We want to put up a better show but it did not happen,’’ Gibson told reporters at the post match press conference at Mirpur on Friday.
‘’The way we played in the whole tournament we have done a lot of good things but not long enough in some of the previous games and in this game as well and so it is very disappointing the way we finish,’’ he said.
Gibson said that he believe the players of his team that was run by the board will improve to make sure they are at par with others when they take on the field to take part in the next edition of BPL.
Gibson insisted that high-performance coaches need to watch how to improve the youngsters.
‘’I think if you look at the team our team is run by the board. Throughout the tournament, we had four guys made debut. A lot of guys from the high-performance team and it give the high-performance coaches where they are in terms of development and what they need to do going forward while he added that he had seen great prospect in new ball bowler Mohammad Irfan.
‘’We saw Irfan bowled today. He bowled really well in practice but in reality he did not perform .in reality he is bowling to Rille Rossouw, one of the best T20 batsmen in the tournament.I think he handled himself well. If you bowl to Rille and if you get it wrong you are going to get punished,’’ said Gibson.
‘’I thought he handled himself well. I think he has got a great chance to develop. They now know what they need to do going forward and get before next year's tournament,’’ he added.
