West Indian left-handed opener Chris Gayle said on Wednesday that he is eyeing to play the next edition of the ICC World Twenyty20.
Gayle is currently in Bangladesh to take part in the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League for Chattogram Challengers.

‘’It would be nice[ to play in the next T20 World Cup]. Like I said the door is open for a chance. Let’s see what happen. We have some bright youngsters ahead as well. I have left the option open to hear back to my family as well and see where the universe boss is going in whichever way,’’ he said regarding the next ICC T20 World Cup.
Gayle added that he understand that he is getting slow but believe there is still lot of cricket left in him.
‘’I just think I am on the slow side a bit. You know, plan my life ahead. It’s been 20 years of international cricket and 20 years of cricket in general. So there is always life after cricket and this is the time where you can put some plans in place as well. Play a bit of cricket as well. It won’t be like back then where you play in all the tournaments and play all the games in those tournaments as well. So you have to monitor it as you go on,’’ said Gayle.
‘’Life always starts. I have been enjoying it and I don’t try to mix life with cricket as well. Wherever I go in the world, I tried to make most of it because in last 20 years, I was mostly away from home. I met new people and new players as well which actually make new bond as a family and you can continue the new culture. It has been a fantastic life and never stopped me to enjoy the world until I mix both cricket and life,’’ he added.
