South African batsman Cameron Delport said that he still have the urge to play for the Protease at the international level.
Delport is a doughty Protea batsman, born with the pizzazz to brace the shorter formats. After rising to top-level cricket through the grind of state-level domestic cricket, he was showed himself to be a natural in the T20 format and made it to the KwaZulu-Natal cricket team squad for the Africa T20 Cup in 2015.

Delport has been an integral part of BPL where he is playing for three years while he is also playing in the Big Bash League and in the Caribbean Premier League but yet to wear the national jersey.

‘’I definitely dream to play for South Africa especially in the shortest format,’’ said Delport.
‘’I enjoyed playing in the super league every year and we won it a few weeks ago. Hopefully one day I will play for South Africa,’’ he said adding that he is optimistic with the change in the South African set-up.
Definitely you need to have right guys at the top. The guys have done well being there and successful for South Africa,’’ he said
‘’You want guys at the top and you do not want administrator who does not have a cricket experience. The guys have cricket experience,’’ he said.
‘’You definitely want that leadership at the top who have done it all for South Africa,’’ he said.
Delport said that he is not too sure why South Africa chokes at international level but believe if they can play without taking and extra pressure.
‘’I am not too sure [why they choke]. I have not played for South Africa I do not know that feeling of playing in the semifinal or final .Obviously I played in a local T-20 semifinal or final,’’ he said.
‘’You just cannot over think it and play it as another group game. Everyone should play their A-game,’’ he concluded.
