Pakistani opener Ahmed Shehzad said on Thursday that he believe that is home is totally safe and Bangladesh should come forward to revive cricket there by agreeing to play a full fledged series against them.
Bangladesh are scheduled to tour Pakistan later this month to play three Twenty20 internationals and two Tests. The BCB, however, has asked for only a short series featuring three T20s in Pakistan, while it has asked the PCB to host the Test series in a neutral venue.

BCB president Nazmul Hasan recently said that the players and the coaching staff have expressed their concern over touring Pakistan, and added that it will be difficult to go ahead with the Test series in 'a suffocating environment' due to the stringent security measures. The PCB, though, is adamant not to play any home Test outside Pakistan.
Shehzad, who arrived to play for Dhaka Platoon in the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League, said that Pakistan is a perfect place for playing cricket.
‘’For me Pakistan is a safe country. For me it was safe country, it is a safe country. Our forces are doing whatever it takes to international cricket comes back home,’’ Shehzad told reporters at Sylhet on Thursday.
‘’Providing a presidential or a tremendous security to the players. the hospitality, we all know about the country how hospitable we can be. Sri Lanka just came and the tour was really successful. We all know. So credit goes to the cricket board and the people behind it, the unsung people who has been working really hard behind the scenes to convince the teams and making to show the security levels are there to bring back international cricket,’’ he said.
‘’It is totally Bangladesh cricket’s decision, whatever they feel they should do it. But if you ask me personally, I would have really enjoyed going to Pakistan and enjoy the beautiful wickets there, beautiful hospitality and the food there. Definitely it is a perfect place to be and playing cricket,’’ he added.
