Former South African skipper Hashim Amla said on Thursday that he don’t miss international cricket and added that he is looking forward to playing franchise-based cricket here and there and come forward by sharing his experience with his mates in a different part of the horizon.

‘’No, I do not miss Test cricket .as I said before you reached  a stage where you have played enough.I played enough and I am really grateful and very happy,’’ Amla, who arrived to take part for Khulna Tigers in the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League, told reporters at Sylhet on Thursday.

‘’I always enjoy sharing the game. It is just the next chapter and so I don’t really miss international cricket one bit. Everything has its time and fortunately had a very good time with international cricket.

‘’Everything moves on eventually you got to stop at some stage I am fortunate that I really got the chance to play and stop at the right time,’’ he said, who retired from all forms of international cricket on August 2019, bringing down the curtains on a stellar 15-year career.

‘’I am really enjoying and every chapter of your life is an exciting one and I was very fortunate to play international cricket as long as I did and really grateful for that,’’ he said.

But now it’s another chapter and thankfully I got a chance to play in the BPL. Obviously having those international commitments all these years I don’t got that opportunity but now it’s a good time and I am really happy to be here,’’ he said.

‘’I was very keen to play because every country has its unique flavor and experience of BPL is something that I am looking forward,’’ he said.
