Mashrafe Bin Mortaza believes that the team will sorely miss the service of Shakib Al Hasan specially when the team is in difficult situation after failing to live up to the expectation in the World Cup.
He said that every team wants its best player during the difficult period and when Shakib Al Hasan has been in form of his life, his absence is too much for the team.
Shakib requested leave from the Sri Lanka tour after the World Cup, a plea that Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) granted. He is now in holiday mood with his family and touring Europe.

It is informed that the ace all-rounder will perform Hajj for which he wanted time off from the cricket.
“It is needless to say that how problematic it is when Shakib Al Hasan is not in the team,” Mashrafe said on Friday.
“Always we struggle when Shakib misses any tour. Now the form in which he has been, the team will miss him more. Specially every team wants his best player during the difficult time.”
Shakib was the one of the best players in the World Cup, having scored 606 runs and taken 11 wickets. He is the first player in the World Cup history with 600 plus runs and 10 plus wickets in a single edition of the tournament.
But at the same time, Mashrafe said it is an eye-opener what would be if Shakib misses any tour due to his injury. He urged the BCB to create proper back-up for Shakib, keeping this factor in mind.
“This kind of situation could happen any time. The best player of the team could be injured in any time. So we have to create a proper back up.”
