Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) sources reported that the cricket controlling body of the nation might put a demand to Sri Lanka Cricket to hold all the matches of the upcoming ODI series in Colombo.

Following the deadly terrorist attack in Sri Lanka on April, Tigers tour to Sri Lanka looked destined to be shelved indefinitely but due to promises of providing highest level of security to Tigers by Sri Lanka, the three-match ODI series has found steam and is set to be rolled out in the last week of July as per the Future Tour Plan.

BCB sent a four-member Security Analysis delegation which returned from Colombo and submitted their report to BCB. BCB Media Committee Chairman Jalal Yunus nonetheless told reporters that a final decision is yet to be made.

“We have received the report. But we haven’t finalised anything yet. We have some observations. I want to play all the matches in a single venue. BCB President, CEO are now currently at London. We will take a decision regarding the matter very shortly,” said Jalal.

If everything goes to plan, Bangladesh will play three ODIs against Sri Lanka in the Island nation on July 25, 27 and 29 respectively.

Bangladesh head coach Steve Rhodes said that he is not sure whether they will get Mashrafe with them but indicated they are prepared for the Sri Lanka

‘’Oh, the Sri Lanka Tour. Yeah, I mean, he's our leader. If he's on that plane to Sri Lanka, fine. If he's decided else different, then fine, we move on. That actually is life. If he's with us, great, let's take that into consideration and win the games in Sri Lanka. If he's not with us, let's move on,’’ he said.
