Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan said that they are playing cricket at a different level in the ongoing ICC World Cup and added that they want to continue in this manner throughout the tournament.

‘’I will say it’s a whole new level[ for us],’’ Shakib told reporters after the match.

‘’I personally think those matches in Ireland helped us a lot. Because we won every match chasing there and in no time it seemed that we are batting under pressure and we have to play big strokes,’’ he said.

‘’Yes, everybody played big shots. But we played cricketing shots, which big teams normally do. Actually we tried to do that,’’ he said.

‘’I think our coaching stuffs deserves much credit. Because what used to happen earlier is that we used to panic in the dressing room. It was a big problem. The good thing that happens now is that, our coaching stuffs remain so calm that we get no chance to get panicked. We see sometimes our coaching stuffs are listening to radio and gossiping with one another, in no stage we think that they are panicked or taking any tension. it's contagious, it happens naturally. When someone panics another one starts to panic too. They are trying to push this into our dressing room and I think it’s a big reason behind our chasing in this manner,’’ he added. Bangladesh began their World Cup journey on a perfect note as they defeated South Africa in their opening game but following two successive defeats against New Zealand and England and sharing points with Sri Lanka put them on the back foot.

However, Bangladesh bounced back in style as they chased down 321 runs posted by West Indies in a clinical fashion and make sure their win against South Africa is not considered as a fluke.
