Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Mortaza is of the opinion that there is no scope of not being alert for the Bangladesh cricket team. He also maintained that the discrepancy against the bowlers has money for its root.

Indeed, if the ICC need to make more money, then they will have to make sure that flocks of people witness matches from the stadiums—something which Mashrafe is aware of. He believes that the bowlers will have to be on their toes while the batsmen should possess the ability to make big scores.

‘It is not as though we wouldn’t have been alert had we won here [against Sri Lanka].’

'The ICC want to ensure that people come to watch matches. It is for this reason that lots of runs are made. As a result, there is no scope of missing wickets. This is why it is a challenging task for the bowlers. Also, the batsmen need to have the ability to score 320-330 runs.’

After Bangladesh face India and Sri Lanka in the Nidahas tri-nation series, they will tour West Indies in a bid to play against the Caribbean. And Mashrafe has warned the team that they will have to guard themselves from being overwhelmed in order to do well.

‘They [West Indies] have some players that can turn the game on its head, so it is a different challenge. If we can ensure that this challenge doesn’t overwhelm us, then I think that we have a chance to do well [in West Indies].’
