Bangladesh aims to extend their lead to 2-0 as they face Zimbabwe in the second match of the five-game T20 series at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Sunday.

The home team secured a commanding eight-wicket win in the first match, delivering an outstanding performance in all three facets of the game. Their bowlers set the tone for victory with an impressive display, reinforcing their recent streak of success.

However, Litton Das, failed again as he was out for 1 run against Zimbabwe yesterday to chase a small target of 124 runs. Litton gets another chance to get back into rhythm in the second match against Zimbabwe tomorrow.

Today, the team's batting coach David Hemp also expressed hope for him to return to form. On the rest day of the Bangladesh team, he came to the field today with Soumya Sarkar, who is expected to return for the last two matches.

“I think he might be low on runs in terms of output, but he's working really hard on his game. And that's the key thing for us, he's continuously trying to get better and come through that. Players go through troughs where there's the other score runs. They don't score runs or go in patches where they're not as fluent. So he's just working through that at the moment, but he's working really hard in his game. And that's the most important thing,” Hemp said.

Another opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim hammered an unbeaten 47 ball-67 on his debut T20 game. Hemp said Tanzid is making correct decisions more consistently in T20 games but still got room for improvement.

“In terms of his development and progress, he had experience and exposure at the 50 over World Cup. Certainly my experience having watched him, he's growing because he came through the HP program. So I've seen him, I think he's growing week by week and month by month. He is now, I would say making correct decisions more consistently. You still got room for improvement there, but it's nice. It's refreshing to see young player come in, played at his strength and try and move the game forward, which is the way he plays. So in the moment. He's heading in the right direction.”
