The Indian women's cricket team has arrived in Sylhet for their upcoming five-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Bangladesh, which begins on April 28.

Led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur, the 15-member Indian squad touched down at Osmani International Airport, where they were greeted with a warm reception.

The entire series will be played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The opening match is scheduled for Sunday, followed by games on April 30, May 2, May 6, and May 9.

This visit marks India's return to Bangladesh after their previous tour, which took place last year and concluded with some controversy.

During that tour, India played three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20Is. While India won the T20I series 2-1, the ODI series ended in a dramatic tie in the third ODI in Mirpur. Following the contentious ODI, Harmanpreet Kaur publicly criticized Bangladeshi umpires for alleged biased decisions.

The Indian team's arrival in Sylhet signals a fresh chapter in their rivalry with Bangladesh, with fans eagerly anticipating high-quality cricket and hoping the series remains focused on the game itself.
