The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has warned the PSL franchise to avoid any contact with a suspected group comprising one coach from Pakistan, two Indians, and one Bangladeshi.

As per reports in Cricket Pakistan, the PCB has been suspecting the involvement of this group in match-fixing activities.

The ongoing PSL 9 has gained attention due to the suspicious activities of several individuals, and the board has warned players to stay away from such activities and report any suspicions immediately.

In 2017, the PCB conducted an investigation into match-fixing during the PSL 2017 edition, with support from the International Cricket Council’s Anti-Corruption and Security Unit.

The investigation revealed several incidents and led to the suspension of several cricketers under the cricket board’s anti-corruption code.

The suspended players included Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif, Nasir Jamshed, Mohammad Irfan, and Shahzaib Hasan.

The PSL 2024 edition of PSL started with a match between the Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United.

Currently, Multan Sultans are leading the points table with three victories, followed by Quetta Gladiators have two wins sit in the second position.
