The tri-nation series between New Zealand, Pakistan and Bangladesh has been named as the Bangla Wash T20I Tri-series.

Bangladesh wicket-keeper batter Nurul Hasan Sohan was present at the trophy unveiling event with the other two captains Babar Azam and Kane Williamson.

Sohan attended in the absence of Shakib al Hasan, who is yet to join the squad in New Zealand. Shakib skipped the Tigers' previous two-match T20I series against the UAE as the all-rounder was playing in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

"The biggest thing is, we are transmitted with the message that we should not worry about the results. We are going through a process. So, there is no way to predict what the outcome or result would be,” said Sohan.

Bangladesh are hoping for good results in the tri-series starting from October 7. That is why Sohan emphasized team performance rather than individual performance.

“If we do our jobs with sincerity and hard work and the most important thing is that we have to play as a team. If we think as a team rather than individually, because, all the players might not deliver the expected result,"

“According to me if we can deliver what we need to do for the team in any given situation - we can perform for the team according to the situation. Then something good will happen,” he added.

The series will begin on October 7 with Bangladesh taking on Pakistan. All the teams will play against each other twice before the top two teams play the final on October 14.

All the matches will be staged at Christchurch and the series will be as part of of preparation for upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.
