Nurul Hasan Sohan, who captained Bangladesh in the first two T20Is against Zimbabwe, underwent a surgery on his left index finger at Raffles Hospital in Singapore Monday.

Sohan arrived in Singapore on Sunday after being forced to cancel his Zimbabwe visit owing to a finger injury.

“A closed reduction and pinning procedure was performed on Nurul’s left index finger by hand surgeon Dr. Anthony Foo at Raffles Hospital this afternoon. Recovery is estimated at three to four weeks.” BCB chief sports physician Dr Debashis Chowdhury, who accompanied Nurul to Singapore said.

The player will return to Dhaka Tuesday.

He was hurt during the second game and was unable to play in the third.

Sohan’s participation in the forthcoming Asia Cup T20 is in doubt because it is scheduled to begin in the last week of August.
