Musfiqur set to miss WI series for performing Hajj

Bangladesh wicket-keeper batter Mushfiqur Rahim will miss the upcoming West Indies tour as the latter is expected to perform Hajj during the series.

According to Cricbuzz, Mushfiqur has already informed the board about his unavailability

This means Bangladesh will miss the service of four key players – Mushfiq, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam and Nayeem Islam due to their respective injuries.

Bangladesh will depart on June 6 for the tour, for two Tests with three ODIs and equal number of T20Is.

The opening Test will be played at Antigua from June 16-20 while the second Test will be played in St Lucia from June 24-28.

The opening two T20Is will be played in Dominica respectively on July 2 and 3 while the third will be played in Guyana on July 7.

The three ODIs are also scheduled in Guyana on July 10, 13 and 16.
