Taskin: We are prepared to do anything for the country

Bangladesh national cricket team reached Christchurch on Friday for two-match Test series against hosts New Zealand. Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed said the Tigers are prepared to do anything for the country.

Tigers have to quarantine for seven days in the team hotel then the 20-member squad will undergo Covid test to begin their practice in New Zealand.

Taskin admitted the quarantine process is going to be difficult for the side, but they are prepared to do anything for the country.

"We reached New Zealand after a long flight. We have all reached in good health. We will have seven days of room quarantine and although it will be tough, we are prepared to do anything for the country,” said Taskin in the video message.

“We hope the coming days will be good and hope everyone prays so that we can maintain good health and contribute with good performances," Taskin said.

Bangladesh will play two warm-up matches after completing the mandatory quarantine. The first Test match will start on January 1, following that the second and final Test of the series will start on January 9 in Christchurch.
