Bangladesh batsman Yasir Ali Chowdhury underwent a CT scan for the blow to his head sustained while batting in the second innings of the first Test against Pakistan at Chattogram Test on Monday.

The 24-year-old was struck on the helmet by a bouncer by speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi. Then Nurul Hasan Sohan came in as a concussion substitute for the batter.

The scan has found no collection and he is medically stable. However, as a precaution, he will be observed for 24 hours at the hospital.

He is playing no further part in the ongoing 1st Test and Nurul Hasan Sohan has replaced him as a concussion sub in the playing eleven.

The debutant Yasir scored 32 off 72 balls and was in excellent form and added 47 runs with last innings centurion Liton after Bangladesh were cornered on 43 for 5.
