Bangladesh are all set to face the hosts Oman in a do or die encounter to keep their hopes alive in the seventh edition of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

According to Oman all-rounder Khawar Ali, the hosts are breeding confidence after the ten-wicket win over Papua New Guinea on Sunday and looking to exploit the Tigers' weakness to win the game.

"Our team is confident about qualifying to the Super 12. We will play the Bangladesh match with a positive attitude aiming to seal our place in the next round," Ali said.

Bangladesh couldn't chase down 141 against Scotland as the top-order botched. Khawar stated the Tigers will be under pressure after such a defeat.

"They looked weak in chasing. Their batsmen didn't look in good form. We can say now that they are under pressure. But we have to play well in all three departments. Hopefully, the result will come in our favour," he said.

"We know the strength of Bangladesh. We will focus on playing to our strengths as we are quite familiar with the conditions here," Khawar Ali added.

Bangladesh have faced Oman before in T20 World Cup 2016, at Dharamsala. Bangladesh won that game convincingly by 54 runs on the back of Tamim Iqbal’s unbeaten 103 – the only T20I century by any Bangladeshi player.
