Domingo has faith in Tigers to bounce back after Scottish scar

The Tigers have vowed to fight back strongly following their first match loss to Scotland, and have promised to play aggressive cricket against hosts Oman in their second qualifying encounter at Al Amerat Stadium in Muscat on Tuesday.
Bangladesh's last chance of qualifying for the T20 World Cup is to win both of their remaining games. And winning two games may not be enough for the Tigers to advance because the computation of run-rate may be used as they have to win and win by a big margin.
Coach Russell Domingo came to the press conference on the eve of the Oman game and the South African believes Bangladesh will play good cricket and qualify for the super 12 stage.
“The boys are confident that we can get through. I have great belief in the boys. They have come out on top in some tight games over the last year. The boys are full of belief that we can overcome Oman and PNG, and put ourselves in a position to qualify for the main event,” said Domingo to the media.
“We know it’s a big game for us, a high-pressure environment. But, that’s why you play World Cups. These are the type of games you want to be winning. It is a great opportunity for the boys,” he added.
In the crucial encounter against Oman, there may be one change in the starting XI, with opener Mohammad Naim set to replace Soumya Sarkar.
“Naim has been doing great for us. But we needed another bowling option as Riyad could not bowl due to back pain. Now Riyad is fit and can bowl, if needed tomorrow. So we can get Naim back in the XI,” Domingo added.
