Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib al Hasan has been struggling with the bat since his return from the ban. However, the all-rounder found himself back on the track with the series against Zimbabwe.

Shakib was able to display his all-around performance throughout the series, made an important 30 runs in the last match after taking 1 wicket for the team. In this series, Shakib scored 145 runs in three matches, including unbeaten 96-run innings. He also took 8 wickets and had a fifer in the first ODI.

Even if he performs well, Shakib does not want to be content here. He believes it would have been better if he had been able to give more.

“I'm glad I was able to contribute the team. There is no limit to be good. It would have been better if I had been able to contribute more. I'm pleased with how the series concluded,” said Shakib at the end of the match.

Bangladesh will play T20 series against Zimbabwe, England, Australia and New Zealand before the T20 World Cup. Shakib sees these as one of the biggest opportunities to prepare for the World Cup.

“Of course, every series is very important. Now maybe the team has a chance to do some experiments. The team will try to find the best combination. At the same time good results increase the team's confidence,” he said.

“The squad has to put itself through a number of questions. We did well against them. As I already stated, there is no limit to the good. From here, we may continue to improve series by series. Our goal will be achieved if we can improve from here,” he added.
